Sudden Shower.After the class let out I stepped outside, To snatch a mental breath before I went To tread the paths where my reflection died,Sudden Shower.
And met a spray of moisture, rudely rent By pebbles in the grass, reflected back Towards the sky, to reach it impotent.
Just as the water gathers on a crack That strangles the flawed vessel, and runs down Along the sides, and pools, and spreads its slack,
So all the edifices, base to crown Ran slick with silver drops, while these in air Ringing like plastic beads cascaded down.
